There's
plenty to do here without even leaving the grounds. Guests
can take their pick of our three swimming pools, and then
relax with a tropical drink at the pool bar. Our tennis court
is open night and day, and the grounds are criss-crossed by
quiet garden paths. The Hibiscus Cafe offers
reasonably-priced Bahamian dishes served at poolside tables,
while the manager's weekly Rum Punch Party provides an
irresistable reason to enjoy a cool tropical drink.
When you're ready to explore the rest of Paradise Island, you'll find that Bay View is right in the heart of it all. It's an easy walk to beaches and the clear, blue Caribbean. Hartford Beach, a three-mile stretch of dazzling white sand lined with Casuarina trees, is perfect for sunbathing and swimming. For active vacationers, our staff will be happy to arrange trips for parasailing, waterskiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and deep sea fishing. Golfers won't want to miss the island's PGA Championship golf course, only a mile away.
If you're searching for that perfect souvenir or gift to take home, there are plenty of opportunities for shopping. A five-minute stroll takes visitors to the Hurricane Hole Shopping Center. It's also a short trip to the specialty shops of Nassau and its famous Straw Market.
The fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Paradise Island is home to a wide selection of fine restaurants, all within easy reach. Guests can test their gambling skills at the island's casino, then stay to enjoy the glamorous Vegas-style show or go dancing at one of the island's exciting discos. Equally exciting are the traditional Junkanoo celebrations, a regular feature of life on Paradise island.
