WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THE "KUNUKU BAND"

Well here we are, our own page on the Internet. If you've been to Bonaire, you may already know us. If you are checking us out for the first time, here is a little background information to help you get acquainted.

Kunuku Band: Ralph Stewart (left) and Larry Thorne (right)We came to Bonaire from Florida in 1990 to play at Captain Don's Habitat for just two weeks. Now, more than five years later, we are still kickin' and riding the air waves with the release of our first CD, "Trolling."

The name "Kunuku" is a Papiamentu word meaning -- "a place away where you can grow things, relax and be creative." Just what life has become for us!
Our CD consists of ten (10) songs of which nine are originals. They represent a wide variety of styles and rhythms ranging from cool jazz to hot reggae. We invite you to taste a sample of our world music. We hope you enjoy it!

Kunuku Band: Shot from Live Show in Bonaire

When you visit Bonaire, be sure to join us and become part of the "Kunuku Family" at the following regular location:

Thurs: Cap'n Don's Habitat, Deco Stop 9:30pm.

The Kunuku Band is also at Cap'n Don's Habitat every other Sunday at 5:30pm.

A special thanks to all the people who came and partied with us at the Bonaire/Skin Diver "Guided Snorkeling Launch Party" (Riot at the Hyatt) during DEMA '96 - If you missed it ... you really missed it! It was SO good that we are dedicating our new CD "Living on Island Time" to all you divers and the Dive Industry. Both of us have retired from diving professionally to pursue our musical careers and knowing how divers like to party we have some great stories to tell through our music.

Well how 'bout it? Are you ready to get into island mode? Come join our growing Kunuku Family. To get your very own copy of our CD "Trolling" send a travelers check or money order for $20.00 ($15.00 & $5.00 S&H) to:
