ACAPULCO
An Introduction

Located on the southern half of Mexico's Pacific coast, Acapulco nestles between the surf and the majestic mountains that enfold its sickle-shaped bay. It has evolved from a bustling shipping port, where vessels called to trade in silk, porcelain, and ivory in the 1600's, to become Mexico's largest, grandest, and most booming resort. Today, it is referred to as the "Riviera of the West," famous for its beaches, luxury hotels, and upscale shopping malls.
