Transportation
Air - All flights arrive at Brigadier de la Colina Airport, about 40 minutes and $14 from down- town by taxi. Carriers include: Aerolineas Argentinas, Austral, Lapa, Lade, and Dinar.

Rail:  Except on holidays, trains leave twice daily for Buenos Aires. A new train station will be finished by the year 2000.

NOTE: While Mar del Plata is a very safe city, it is not recommended that you walk alone in deserted areas late at night. Also, swimmers should be respectful of any warnings and advisories posted on the beaches.
