When
people visit Grand Bahama Island to get married, many of them hold
their ceremony at the Garden of the Groves -- a
sprawling, 12-acre botanical garden brimming with
orchids, ferns, duck ponds and waterfalls. Native birds such as
Cuban Emeralds and Greater Antillean Bullfinches can be
spotted among the lush foliage. According to the
management, the garden has over ten thousand plants,
which make it among the most photographed locations in
the Bahamas. It is the perfect place for a meandering,
post-meal walk. A picturesque chapel, the replica of the
first chapel built in Pine Ridge, sits atop a hill,
providing a wonderful photo opportunity for
photographers! In addition to the flora and fauna found on the grounds, there is also a petting zoo featuring potbelly pigs and pygmy goats, and a souvenir bird posing area. Open 7 days a week PH: 242-373-5668
