Playa la Ropa
Situated just five minutes from town, Playa la Ropa is regarded as the most beautiful
beach in the area. It has restaurants, hotels, and facilities for water sports.
Playa las Gatas
This lovely, semi-isolated beach lies at the far end of Zihuatanejo Bay and is only
accessible by the "pangas" (boats) that run between the town pier and the
mini-dock on the beach. There is a legend about Calzontzin, a Tarascan king, who
supposedly choose this bay as his royal retreat and enclosed it with a long protective
breakwater just in front of the beach. The beach is ideal for
underwater enthusiasts.
Playa Linda
Located 10 minutes by car from Ixtapa's Hotel Zone, Playa Linda has a craft market and a
small dock with pangas running to the Isla Ixtapa.
