Playa la Ropa
Situated just five minutes from town, Playa la Ropa is regarded as the most beautiful beach in the area. It has restaurants, hotels, and facilities for water sports.

Playa las Gatas
This lovely, semi-isolated beach lies at the far end of Zihuatanejo Bay and is only accessible by the "pangas" (boats) that run between the town pier and the mini-dock on the beach. There is a legend about Calzontzin, a Tarascan king, who supposedly choose this bay as his royal retreat and enclosed it with a long protective breakwater just in front of the beach. The beach is ideal for
underwater enthusiasts.

Playa Linda
Located 10 minutes by car from Ixtapa's Hotel Zone, Playa Linda has a craft market and a small dock with pangas running to the Isla Ixtapa.


Activites

Water Sports - La Ropa is idea for water-skiing, while Las Gatas and Isla Ixtapa are popular for snorkeling.

Deep Sea & Small Game Fishing - The waters around Ixtapa are famous for the abundance and variety of game fish, from sailfish and marlin to roaster fish, mackerel, wahoo, yellow tail and bonito.

Golf - There are two professional golf courses, both 18 holes: The Palma Real (designed by Robert Trent Jones) and the Marina Ixtapa (designed by Robert Van Haggen and rated as one of Mexico's top courses by Golf Digest).
