Mexico City has several private hospitals with excellent service such as ABC, Hospital Espanol, Los Angeles, Humana, and Medica Sur. There is also the Red Cross, which is the first to be called to an accident. The ambulance service as well as the emergency service has no set fee and you pay it on a totally voluntary basis. The ambulance will take you to whatever hospital you wish or, depending on your status, they'll take you to their own base hospital.
