Sand Dollar
Dive and Photo, the resort's top-flight dive shop and PADI 5-star IDC training facility,
offers a multitude of activities and courses suitable for novices as well as experienced
divers. Its multi-lingual staff is very well trained and enormously knowledgeable about
Bonaire's remarkable dive spots. The facility is designed for convenience, with a
fully-stocked retail and rental shop, a well-organized dockside gear storage room, several
large rinse tanks, and an attractive classroom right on the shore. Sand Dollar's
custom-designed dive boats offer four departures every day--8:45 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 1:30
p.m., and 3:30 p.m., although for safety reasons guests are limited to one morning and one
afternoon dive per day. A diving orientation, including an orientation dive on nearby Bari
Reef, is provided for all new arrivals, and a complimentary snorkel field trip, lead by
the Sand Dollar's underwater naturalist, is offered twice a week. Sand Dollar Dive and
Photo is fully-stocked with diving and snorkeling equipment for purchase or rental, as
well as such necessities as hats
, sunglasses, sunscreen, and gift items.
An especially appealing feature of the Sand Dollar dive facilities is its high-quality photo shop. Courses in underwater photography and videography are available, and the shop provides daily slide and print processing. A full line of photo and video equipment are available for rent. On Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, the staff presents slide shows that make even the most reluctant first-timer eager to explore the island's dazzling reefs

Tank rental includes use of weights, weight belt, and back pack. Dive packages are for any six diving days -- not necessarily consecutive. Dive packages and air will be sold only to certified divers. Dive packages are non-transferable and non- refundable. The unlimited boat dive package includes maximum of 12 boat dives. No more than one a.m. and one p.m. boat dive daily. Orientation and shore dive for arriving divers is at 9:30 a.m. 10% service charge.
